Our camps are introductory and accessible to any student with an interest in technology. Students do not need any familiarity with computer science or programming to attend. Our curriculum teaches both concepts and skills. Over the course of three half-days, students learn what AI is and isn't, where they already interact with AI in their own lives, the ethical implications of AI systems, and much more.
I saw the impact of PCs. Then I saw the impact of local area networks. Then I saw the impact of wide area networks. Then I saw the impact of the Internet. Then I saw the impact of mobile. Then I saw the impact of wireless. Now I'm seeing the impact of artifical intelligence. And it dwarfs any of those things.
Founded by Mark Cuban in 2019, the AI Bootcamps Initiative has hosted many free camps teaching AI to more than 1,600 students in over 30 cities. This year, we'll teach camps for more than 600 students across the US in cities such as Miami, Detroit, Portland, Chicago, New York City, and Dallas.
